Dear Family and Friends, It saddens us to let you know that after almost 27 years our son Sami Samhouri has passed away. Sami is survived by his parents Tj Samhouri and Dawn Paystrup Samhouri. Sami is also survived by his brother Michael Samhouri and his sister Aysha Samhouri, grandparents Dave and Janna Paystrup. Also survived by his uncles and aunts and many cousins throughout the world. When Sami was born on June 16th 1989, his doctors and nurses told us that he would not make it past the first day. After a year of them telling us he was going to die, they finally decided that they truly did not know. Sami decided to write his own book. Throughout his life he lived life to the fullest. He had no fear. He went on all the rides at Disneyland and Universal Studios.....the scarier the better. Whenever we told him he can't do something...his attitude was..Yes I can watch me. Sami loved sports especially Football and Basketball. His favorite teams are the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos...and when it came to Basketball it was the Lakers and the Cavaliers. Last year Sami had the opportunity to go watch the Carolina Panthers play against the Texans. Sami got to meet so many amazing Panthers facebook friends. Thank you all for your love and support. Sami also got to meet some of the coaches and most of the players. He was in heaven. Sami got to go for a tour of the stadium. Then moving to Basketball Sami went to watch Kobe play one of his last games against the Wizards. He had a blast. Sami's life was not complete. He always was searching for true love. With his condition it was very difficult especially that most people who are healthy can't find true love. So there was no way he was going to find this true love..Once again his attitude is watch me. From all places he found her in Cleveland..Who would have thought. Her name is Felicia Lynn. Felicia Lynn left her family in Cleveland and moved in with Sami earlier this month. I don't think I ever seen two people more in love and care about each other than these two. She was with him until the last breath. Felicia Lynn is and will always be a member of our family. After reading many of the hundreds of comments that came across social media and personal texts and emails. we realize that Sami has touched the hearts and souls of hundreds of people in a very positive way. We are so grateful to know that our son left a lasting impression with so many people.
